Lalapanzi Cottages

Lalapanzi Cottage is one of 26 houses in the complex Mare Nostrum – Keurboomstrand.  These houses were originally built in the early 60s.  Although upgraded in time – the original floors are still in 3 of the bedrooms; and the original gas light fixtures still hang throughout the house.

The word ‘keurboom‘ is derived from the name of the local Keurboom tree, with its pretty pink-mauve flowers.  Both the Keurboom and the Milkwood tree is protected in South Africa

Keurboomstrand is sheltered by a big mountain that is thick with trees and the beaches are beautiful with warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Keurboomstrand is within easy reach of highlights such as Tsitsikamma, Storms River Mouth, Knysna, Nature’s Valley and the many attractions of Plettenberg Bay.
